Otterly.AI alternatives (2026): 8 AI visibility tools compared
By Joshua
Otterly.AI is a good default: $29 to start, daily tracking on every plan, and ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot in the base price. The reasons to look elsewhere are specific — Gemini and Google AI Mode cost extra, the API starts at $189, and the numbers come without a sample size. Here are eight tools that answer one of those differently, with where each is better and worse.
Why people look past Otterly.AI
Otterly.AI's plans are Lite at $29 a month (15 prompts, one workspace), Standard at $189 (100 prompts, unlimited workspaces, REST API and MCP) and Premium at $489 (400 prompts), all tracked daily (Otterly pricing). Three things send buyers to compare:
- Google's own engines are add-ons. Gemini and AI Mode are $59 a month each on Standard and $149 each on Premium; Claude is $109 and $439.
- The jump from Lite to Standard is $160 a month, and it is the jump that brings the API, the MCP server and more than one workspace.
- Figures are reported as an index and rankings, without the number of answers behind them — which matters as soon as somebody asks whether a move is real.
None of these is a flaw for every team. If Perplexity and Copilot are where your buyers are, Otterly.AI's base price covers more than most of the list below. For a one-to-one comparison with Recomma, see Recomma vs Otterly.AI.

| Rankscale | From $20; Pro $99 | Hourly to monthly | 10 engines, paid from one credit pool | API from Pro+; MCP offered |
| AthenaHQ | Free tier; Starter $295 | Not published | 11 models on Starter | API as a paid add-on |

1. Recomma
This is our product, so it is first and you should weigh that. Recomma captures ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews and Google AI Mode from the pages readers see, with none of them sold as an add-on. Every figure carries the number of answers it was measured over and a 95% interval, each tracked question is priced by the keywords behind it, and every fix is re-measured on fresh answers fourteen days after it closes.
- Plans: Starter $30/mo · 50 prompts · weekly · 1 project · up to 3 engines; Growth $299/mo · 300 prompts · daily · 3 projects · up to 3 engines; Scale $999/mo · 500 prompts · daily · unlimited projects · every engine.
- Better than Otterly.AI on: Google's engines included, error ranges on every number, measured outcomes for each fix, prompts pooled across brands.
- Worse than Otterly.AI on: entry price for daily tracking, no Perplexity or Copilot, no Looker Studio connector, no customer reviews yet.
- Best for: teams that report AI visibility upward and need the numbers to survive a question, and agencies running several brands from one pool.
2. Peec AI
Peec AI tracks daily on every plan: Starter $95 a month with 50 prompts and one project, Pro $245 with 150 prompts and two, Advanced $495 with 350 prompts, five projects and a Looker Studio integration. Each plan includes three models of your choosing from a list that covers ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver; a fourth is $35 to $165 a month depending on the plan (Peec pricing). Its MCP server is read-only (Peec MCP docs), and the REST API is an Enterprise feature.
Best for: content and SEO teams that want clean daily tracking across three engines and do not need an API below Enterprise. More in Recomma vs Peec AI.
3. Rankscale
Rankscale sells credits rather than prompts. Pro is $99 a month for 1,200 credits, Pro+ $229 for 3,000, Growth $385 for 5,500; most engines cost a quarter of a credit per answer, DeepSeek one and Claude two, and unused credits roll over. The engine list is the widest here at a low price — ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, Claude, Copilot and Grok — and cadence can be set anywhere from hourly to monthly. The REST API starts on Pro+, and there is a seven-day trial of Pro (Rankscale pricing).
Best for: budget-conscious SEOs and agencies who want many engines and are comfortable doing credit arithmetic. It does not say whether answers come from the interface or an API.
4. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ has a free Essential tier (300 credits, five engines) and a Starter plan at $295 a month for 3,600 credits — one credit, one answer — across eleven models including Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. Starter connects to Shopify, Webflow, GA4 and Search Console and includes a content-optimisation agent; API access is a paid add-on whose price is not published (AthenaHQ pricing).
Best for: mid-market growth teams that want the broadest model list at one credit price and content actions tied to their analytics.
5. Scrunch
Scrunch starts at $300 a month ($250 billed annually) for 350 custom prompts, 1,000 industry prompts, three personas and three users; Growth is $500 ($417 annually) for 700 custom prompts. It tracks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta, monitors AI agent traffic, and its AXP product serves an AI-friendly version of your site. The data API is Enterprise only; the trial is seven days with no card (Scrunch pricing).
Best for: teams that care as much about how AI agents read the site as about the answers, and have the budget for it.
6. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
The toolkit is $99 a month for one project and 25 prompts, with 50 more for $60; prompts are tracked daily and brand performance weekly, and the knowledge base names ChatGPT and Google AI Mode as the engines (Semrush knowledge base). The Semrush One bundles add AI prompts to the SEO suite: 50 a day on the $199 Starter, 100 on Pro+ at $299 (Semrush pricing).
Best for: teams already paying for Semrush who want AI tracking beside their rankings rather than a specialist tool.
7. Ahrefs Brand Radar
Brand Radar works the other way round from everything above: instead of tracking your prompts, its $199-a-month AI index measures brands across hundreds of millions of prompts drawn from Ahrefs' keyword database, on AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, re-tested monthly. Your own prompts are a separate add-on from $50 a month, with Claude available there (Brand Radar, Ahrefs pricing).
Best for: market-wide share-of-voice benchmarking, especially for teams already on Ahrefs; less suited to watching a fixed set of questions closely.
8. Profound
Profound's public pricing today is a free seven-day trial — 50 fixed prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews — and an Enterprise plan by contract with up to nine engines, API, SSO and SOC 2 (Profound pricing). There is no self-serve brand plan on the page. Agencies can buy client workspaces, which Profound priced at $399 a month each when it launched them (Profound blog).
Best for: enterprise brands buying through procurement. If that is not you, see Profound alternatives.
How to pick
- Start from the engines your buyers use, not from the longest list. A tool that covers ten engines you do not need is not better than one that covers the three you do.
- Price the plan you will actually be on, with the add-ons — a $189 plan that needs two $59 engines is a $307 plan.
- Ask how answers are collected. The answer from a model API and the page a reader sees cite different sources; most tools here use the interface, several do not say.
- Ask how many answers each number rests on. A visibility figure without a sample size cannot tell a real move from a re-roll.
- Decide what happens after the report. Recommendations, tickets, content agents and site rewrites are different products; pick the one your team will use.
How this list was made
Every price, allowance and engine list here was read from the vendor's own pricing page, help centre or changelog on 10 October 2026, and is linked where it is stated; where a vendor does not publish something, the table says so rather than guessing. Review-site ratings are left out because they could not be checked at the source. Tools are listed Recomma first, because this is our page, and the rest by how directly they compete with Otterly.AI on price.
